Craft Room. Done!
Success: the craft room is clean (for now) and usable/useful (for now). Would you like to see? Of course you would! Walk this way with me....
The door opens a little more easily. The dress form is still there with the shawls waiting to be washed and blocked. The bassinet is cleaned up with the sheets and the bumper pads in the wash. Meanwhile, the blankets which have already been washed and blocked are in plastic bags awaiting their grand debut.
Above them hangs an Ikea bag on the flamingo hanger (because we live at the beach)
And in that bag we have five finished blankets waiting their turn to be washed and blocked.
| Keep hanging in there, little ones, I'll get to you soon! |
Over here we have the dress form in front of the bookcase with incubator supplies, craft books, and my special pictures.
As of this writing, the eggs are now 14 days from hatch.
The detritus has been removed.
The loom is waiting a fresh start.
Geoffrey is primed and ready to help!
The biggest part of the cleaning is the organizing of the stash!
Knitting up top, weaving on the bookshelf with stash I want to order more of because it was wonderful and pretty to work with, and stash I will be starting over the next week or so. I thought I had enough for another three but when I started working with it I realized I (again!) do not have yarn quite thick enough for the sett of my loom (the distance between the nails. The closer they are, the finer the yarn I may use). There are work-arounds for this challenge but right now my goal is to produce. Learning a new technique has to wait until after the Christmas Market!
Yarn I want more of....
Yarn I just finished winding. Yay!!
And back to the door.
Beach hangers and office supplies extra.
My, that was a LOT wasn't it?!
After all that, I think we need to go hang out in the sand for a while.
Breathe in
Breathe out
